Ralph Mechur Architects was established in 1992 as a full service architectural firm with a focus on affordable housing and social service projects.

Ralph Mechur has served on the Santa Monica Planning Commission of the City of Santa Monica during which time he worked closely with staff and the community on the Third Street Promenade Specific Plan, the Santa Monica Pier Expansion Plan, the Civic Center Specific Plan, and the Ocean Park Design Guidelines.

Additionally, Mr. Mechur was a member of the Oversight Committee of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District monitoring over $400 million in facilities improvements. He currently sits on the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education. Ralph Mechur Architects's goals are to design buildings that accommodate the client's program and financial resources, and that respect a community scale and neighborhood.
